The Avian Kingdom is an area situated in Scania, in the south of Sweden, between the lakes Vomsjön and Krankesjön. It provides 10 nature reserves of international interest with a rich bird life and, thanks to its warm microclimate, many rare plants and a valuable insects fauna.
The Avian Kingdom is also a wide project of cooperation, supported by the EU, among Swedish Armed Forces working in a historical training field located in the area, biologists, farmers and local citizens.
